Baking
A developing skill from childhood

Flavorful fun
My mother always was baking extravagant cakes for my birthdays and for her friends' gatherings. I soon followed her into the baking world and fell in love with it. Starting at age nine I began a cupcake stand on my street corner, which became rather successful and popular in the neighborhood. Last year, I won "Best Taste" for a class Cupcake Wars event.
Extravagant flavors are always fun and exciting to experiment with. For the Cupcake Wars, I created a rosewater vanilla cupcake with a lemon ganache and an orange buttercream frosting. For Mother's Day, I make a lemon blueberry olive oil cake with a strawberry mascarpone frosting.
I also had the opportunity to make the cake for my mother's "Little Gentleman" baby shower.
Cinnamon rolls are one of my favorite things to bake and definitely tasty. While continuing to explore the flavorful world, I plan to continue developing my baking skills.
