From a young age, I volunteered for SaraCare the adult daycare center.  Originally, I volunteered at the downtown Canton location with my grandfather.  I helped serve meals, run activities and engage participants in arts and crafts.  I worked with the Men's Group primarily, learning about old movies, cars, music, and stories.  As I grew older, I became more involved in bringing new things to participants, including my Girl Scout Troop to volunteer with me. 

My grandfather slowly stopped volunteering with this organization as the downtown Canton location closed.  But during the summer I took it upon myself to do some organization of the other location.  I helped with exercises, doing some dance moves from the comfort of a chair, reorganized the craft room and the storage room.  Little things like this went a long way to help out the community of SaraCare.  

My most recent endeavor includes working with VoiceTrust, a nonprofit based out of India, for helping with their social media and graphics information.  I redid their LinkedIn page, and now I am working to edit videos, create their Instagram presence and spread the word of their missions.  The focus on the empowerment of women and children for human rights, along with an additional mission for natural disaster relief, COVID-19 relief, and agriculture.

I volunteer on the committee for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Concert Committee for the Concert For Legends Powered by Johnson Controls (which we are required to title it that way).  On the committee, I help orient new volunteers, organize materials for the meetings and help on the actual day of the concert.  I transport water to all of the volunteers throughout the night.  I have worked in the VIP area, which is where Hall of Fame members and their families sit, I have escorted them (Ray Lewis's family) and kept other concert goers from bothering them.  I also wristbanded people, including ticket checking and redirecting to the appropriate areas. My grandfather is chair of this committee and I will now be working Chairman's Assistant for this year's committee.  I have worked at the concert of Maroon 5 and Imagine Dragons. 

This organization does 5K and 10K runs for the Akron-Canton regional food bank.  I volunteered to help in the kids area, making sure they were entertained while their parents ran.
