Welcome To My Life

IMG_1206.PNG.png

I was born in Massillon, OH and moved around quite a bit, eventually ending up back in Massillon.  I grew up as a member of the church but have since broken away from that lifestyle in order to discover myself and my goals in life.  Both of my parents work and I live with my grandparents.  My parents were both music majors in school and have encouraged me artistically throughout my life.  My grandfather started me on the service pathway in my life from a very young age and I grew up with a very giving personality.

Growing up, I have wanted to change my career path several different times.  Originally I wanted to open a bakery, then I wanted to be a singer-songwriter, then an American Sign Language Interpreters, followed by an educator.  I have now decided on Social Media Marketing and Management.

My personality type is ENFP-T meaning that I am extraverted.  I enjoy participating in social activites and having social and emotional relationships.  Charming, independent, energetic, compassionate and go-getters are some words associated with my personality type.  I crave creativity, freedom and independence.  I very often come up with extravagant projects, events and ideas and jump into action with them.  More often than not, I create large-scale projects and programs and go in search of other ambitious people to help make these a reality.

I am involved with Film Club, Women's Chorus, Student Council, Youth & Government and now bowl for our school's team (in addition to my nonprofit work).

COVID-19 Update

In light of COVID-19, I have taken on a lot of different projects to stay productive and optimize the use of my time.  For example, I have started work under three nonprofits: VoiceTrust (Social Media Marketing), She's My Daughter (Undetermined) and New Moon Films (Production and Research Assistant).  I am taking time to improve this site.  I continue to work on my art and staying involved with all of my extracirriculars.  I recently participated in the first ever virtual Youth & Government session, of which my bill on Transgender Youth Education in Schools passed unanimously apart from one vote.  I am participating in college StriveScan zoom seminars.  I also have been starting online courses under edX and Cousera.  I find that it is important to continue planning for the future and planning for life to go back to normal in a relatively timely manner.  I plan to continue working in the restaurant industry, continue schoolwork, continue volunteering and working towards my internship next year.  I'm also looking into online summer immersion programs such as Wake Forest, Teen Summit, Polyphonylit, and more.  I am actively signing up for Master Classes in interest specific areas and staying active.  The Jackson Bog is a great place for walks and enjoying nature during this uncertain time.  Reorganize, repurpose, restart.

I would like to leave this note at the end, as it is important to credit your sources.  From my amazing teachers to my best friends.  If I begin talking about all of my thanks to all of them, I will never stop.  So if they ever come across this page, I would like to personally thank Mrs. Suzie Gardner, Mrs. Ryann Despot, Mrs. Diana Rankin, Mrs. Holly Bantum, Mrs. Jennifer Vaughn, Miss Elizabeth Galloway-Purcell, Mr. Scott Eversdyke, Mrs. Lisa Skelly, Si Wishop, Oliver Weaver, Kit Phan, Daniel Lee, Timothy Goodrich, Ashley Anzaldi, Sidney LoVaglio, Avery Hawkins, Jamie Toth, Katora Morris, Zach Smith, Elijah Presley ,Robin Ryder Sedlocke, Rylie Rich, Kathryn Magee, Nixon Broome, Lacey Literdale, Anne Alexshonk, Ashton Bavis, Elizabeth Zupp, Ore Okonrende, Alex Noland, Miro Swisher, Hunter Starcher and Hannah Jester-Housel.
